Naked Gun is one of those trilogies that are, for those of us who grew up with them and in that time, timeless classics.

However, a lot of the humor is rooted firmly in the milieu of late-80s and early-90s culture. Perhaps a remake wouldn't be the worst idea as long as they keep the edgy spirit of the humor alive. Especially the visual gags.

I have a friend that is on the crew for the production. He was very happy to report to us that while he can not break his NDA, the writers absolutely 100% "get it" and he can't wait to see what everyone thinks.

I know sex jokes are part of the movies, but i hope they dial it back a little, closer to the original tv show.

The heart surgeon asking Johnny the shoeshine guy about heart surgery is one of the funniest bits in any TV show ever.
