Alright I know this a NBA sub, but in hockey when a guy takes a slap shot into an empty net it’s gloves off haha

To think one of the most impressive end-of-game plays of his career comes in year 21. Hahaha what the fuck is this dude?

u/OmegaPointMG Apr 14 '24
Lakers need to fire darvin ham. No way it should be a close game like this

I’m just not going to get used to these new ball courts.
I’m sorry. I tried. I’m just clearly too old.

Did you know Lebrun actually dropped out of high school his senior year

Boy oh boy where do I even begin. Lebron.. honey, my pookie bear. I have loved you ever since I first laid eyes on you. The way you drive into the paint and strike fear into your enemies eyes. Your silky smooth touch around the rim, and that gorgeous jumpshot. I would do anything for you. I wish it were possible to freeze time so I would never have to watch you retire.

Obviously this proves the NBA is rigged. Silver paid Memphis to give up the ball, and the rim has an electro magnet in it.

I'm an extremely casual NBA fan where I'll watch the Bucks in the playoffs if they're on a channel my parents get and I can steal it from them via streaming. What do NBA fans think about courts like this? I'm not sure about others, but I'm a big fan of this gray court. Really makes the action stand out.

He’s the oldest player in the league, and when he turns it on, he might still be the most athletic person in the building. I haven’t seen him run like that in years, god damn.

That player who can't run faster than a 39 year old player should be fired by the Grizzlies

It’s really not that impressive. I’m one year younger and managed to pour a bowl of heart healthy cereal without pulling anything this morning. Grabbing the bowl was a lot like a dunk tbh

Way too many people take LBJ for granted. When he finally hangs up his shoes and jersey for good, I really don’t think a lot of people will realize just how incredible of an athlete / basketball player he was.

Absolutely great play & hussle 💯, on the other hand an absolutely terrible human being overall 💯 unfortunately....
Btw, can someone please explain how his son is actually even remotely eligible for the draft averaging around 4-5 points per game this past season & literally stroking out on the court??? The only possible reason that I can think of is that it's bc his last name is LaBron. Bc he's obviously NOT NBA material. Those boys are likely going to give him another stroke to be honest.

Lebron is 39. I'll shit on him all day long b/c he's a wet blanket personality but balling like this at 39 is CRAZY

u/Separate-Score-7898 Apr 13 '24
Oh look, another open and free lebron dunk against trash team while he just stood around on defense. So impressive. He should be coming off the bench the last 3 seasons.

u/LatterBank2699 Apr 13 '24
It’s really hard to watch LeBron’s obvious decline in real time.
He may only have 10 to 12 seasons left. Sad.

putting away the poverty grizzlies. Lakers are not doing shit in the playoffs
2
u/FIFAmusicisGOATED Apr 13 '24
You know that clip of Kevin Garnett arguing over dogs in the league with Paul Pierce, and when he tells him Lebron would bone him at 90? I’m starting to believe that maybe he’s right.
The dude is basically 40 years old. He shouldn’t be able to do that. It’s almost like watching 20 year old 7’4 center Wenbanyama run the court and hit a pull-up logo 3. Like you simply shouldn’t be able to do those things based on the context. I am really going to miss this era of the NBA when it doesn’t have Lebron in it anymore

Ohhhh! That's awesome! They won by one basket against the Griz 3rd string. They are amazing! (Lol...not!).

u/TJiMTS Apr 13 '24
What’s crazy is how quickly he analyses that the ball is going backcourt and the defender is going to heave it towards the centre of the court to keep it in…

u/Double-Armadillo-898 Apr 13 '24
bruh im younger than him and feel like im dying with every movement, how is he still goin

It was as if the train called Sunshine suddenly went full speed thru tunnel over the bridge of death going sideways.

u/TotalWarFest2018 Apr 13 '24
Have any players said whether they find that floor distracting?
It looks cool as hell, but it seems like it would throw you off a bit.

He ran the length of the court, slots the ball and reverse dunked it in the span of 10.5s remaining to 5.5s remaining. WOW.

Father time is sitting in meetings right now discussing his future at the company while he sees his associates snickering at him and whispering, and he is continually flipping everyone off in plain sight.
"Lost his touch," say the whispers.

Why floor are that weird silver color? NBA folks ain't taking this game seriously. Total disgrace

Memphis are so injured they're basically a G League team at this point. Look at who played that night. Embarrassing it was this close

u/NBA2024 Apr 13 '24
I’m imagining him doing that in a Game 6 close out vs Denver to win the series 4-2 on 50 points

Hey calm down on the old man being able to dunk comments. I’m 42 and just dunked for the first time in my life. Granted it was on the little tikes easy score basket ball set, but a dunks a dunk.

Can you imagine how defeating that is to have your arena cheering for an opposing player? I guess that’s why he’s the king.

Why are the grizzlies attacking the basket like that when they’re down by 3?

Friendly reminder that this senior citizen could still give us a show in a dunk contest.
2
u/BitcoinHelpsYou Apr 13 '24
im fucking sorry man but this shit is a travel from the 3 point line.
Hell of a play but he takes 3 total steps.
2
u/Thunderhank Apr 13 '24
Took too long to scroll to find someone bring this up. Impressive but 100% travel.

u/TheBestHairInTheRoom Apr 13 '24
What is up with the grey court? Haven’t watched a game in a long time. Is this like a default thing. Really fucked with my brain. Like is this a video game or a simulation or something. Weird vibes.
2
u/UrsulasAnus Apr 13 '24
Unfuckingreal. 41 munutes in at the end of the season being and being 39 years old then he morphs into a cheetah. The IQ of hunting down and seeing the future of exactly what #14 was going to do with the ball is insane. Then comes the finish. Simply incredible.
2
u/lettus-get-curious Apr 13 '24
Wouldn’t this be considered travel? Looks like he took 3 steps. Or was the first of three not counted because he was still dribbling? I dont know the rules so Im just curious!
1
u/NoKnowsPose Lakers Apr 13 '24
It wasn't even close to a travel. You don't count steps until his dribble is fully stopped, meaning he has either picked up the ball or his hand is in a position on the ball that effectively ends his dribble.
2
u/NefariousNeezy Lakers Apr 13 '24
Dude does not need to join the dunk contest
His dunk contest is in-game, in the clutch
(Seriously though what an embarassing win for the Lakers)

Oldest player in the league at 39, playing 41 minutes, in his 69th game of the season at 35 min/game.
He's played 2425 minutes so far, most since 2017/18.
He beats logic once and again.

I still wanna talk about LBJ and AD did an extremly bad job in that defensive rebound. This could have easily been an And1 to tie the game. They got lucky...

Lebron at 80 years old will have more athleticism, drive, and passion in a game vs his grand kids than prime tobias harris does on a max contract
