Multiply the current stock price by 4. Is that price where it was before the sneeze? Then we ain’t back where we started.
The dividend stock split made 1 share become 4 shares. So you have to remember to divide old share prices by 4, or multiply current prices by 4 in order to compare the two time periods.
Some OG apes will remember the hedge funds will use misinformation, paid shills, and other dirty tricks to spread fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD). Their only hope was GME bankruptcy.
That is no longer a possibility.
As for me, I like the stock.

it wasn't just a moral outrage, it's a generic outrage to imagine that a company responsible for a service in the market can also leverage that information let alone hold privileges they can implement to trade in a way not even most other institutions can. the icing on the cake is that even with all that power they still "lost" and had to take emergency action to halt trading and overtly set rules in their favor (delete buy button).
The fact that it happened the way it did should immediately destroy every shred of faith anyone has in the market.
I don't know on what planet a billion dollars and a profitable company is the same thing as verge of bankruptcy and hemorrhaging money, but i only read earth news.

Reuters is directly owned (through donations, like how universities are) by the rothschilds. Rothschilds gave Reuters their first check and first objective. Rothschilds are bffs (as far as we are concerned) with the Rockefeller’s (not really but basically) and the rockefellers own blackrock who is their balancing trade (longs) for citadel (the ones shorting gme) who is also owned (through share ownership) by the aforementioned. This is like a cop writing their own report on a guy they just assaulted then running over to the judges seat doing a 360 with a new hat like “everything in this report is true and accurate”. Actually bonkers, I don’t see how anyone can take Reuters seriously.
2
u/N00bslayHer Apr 04 '24
And for clarification, MegaCorps longs (black rock) will never be enough to cover their shorts (citadel) period. This has been the case since day 1 and will continue to be the case until mass incursion occurs, ie more ass.

You know it's strange that NEGG had a squeeze of sorts back in 2021 and we know that HKD was a collateral pump for SHFs but they're not talked about at all anymore. It's strange that GME gets so much love in the limelight, what it is about this stock that they have to keep talking about. They truly are fucked. No other stock has had a cult following like this one, they doomed themselves because they did something that was unquestionably wrong in turning off the buy button. The fact they think we will ever forget and just walk away is humorous. GME will never go bankrupt, they can delay but they cannot get away.

Hi Lauren! I googled you and you appear to be a real journalist, as opposed to some of the supposed authors of GME hit pieces, so hopefully you're here in the comments. Have to disagree with you - a profitable company with a billion in cash on hand is not "back where we started."
For your next piece, consider looking into beneficial ownership of stocks vs Direct Registration, and fails to deliver. We believe the DTCC is fucking us by allowing more shares of GME to be traded than exist, and then not following through on enforcing delivery. Like seriously, how is"fail to deliver" a thing - if I do that in my business dealings it's fraud.

Funny because “back where it started” must mean $44 a share because of the 4-1 split. However I remember it being $4 when this all started. So if a 11x in growth is “back where it started” I’d take being back where I started any day of the wek

Two stints as an investment banker notwithstanding - and one as a high school journalism teacher in Dallas - she rejoined Reuters in 2020 from the Wall Street Journal and is currently US editor.
Looks like after her two failed attempts at investment banking and a term as a high school teacher, Lauren is roughly back where she was in 2006.
