[PC] Game were you play as a big monster that destroys cities

I'm trying to find a game where you play as a kaiju or something and you have to destroy cities or similar things. I know there is the godzilla (2014) but it isn't that good and is only of ps4, I'm looking for something I could play on pc, it can be old or new, but it has to be about you controlling a monster that destroys cities.

Any type of recommendations is welcome, and if you think of thing that might be similar it's welcome too.

Thanks in advance!!!!

[PC] Cyberpunk 2077 or Fallout: New Vegas?

Both are intriguing because I enjoyed both of their respective shows. I was put off from getting Cyberpunk because of how messy the launch was. I've played a little bit of Fallout 4 (20ish hours) but I didn't fall in love with it and ultimately gave up. Other recommendations for FPS RPG's are welcome. Thanks!

Edit: y’all could not be more divided and I love it hahaha, I’m going to start with FNV then play Cyberpunk :D

[PC] Nice Looter/Looter Shooter games with good replay or endgame content?

I just got a new PC, but somehow Destiny 2 is the only thing I play on it, which seems like quite a waste. Before I decide to sell it off, can you guys recommend good looter/looter shooter games from Steam (or PC in general).

I have played:

  1. The entire Borderlands franchise
  2. Outriders
  3. The entire Monster Hunter franchise except Rise
  4. Destiny 2 (ongoing)
  5. Diablo 4 (ongoing)

I love these games, especially if they have some RPG aspects in them. I dislike anything soulslike after trying Lies of P.

Edit: Forgot to add The Division franchise

Under-rated or Hidden Gem PS5 Single player games?

Hey reddit, give me your best hidden gem or under rated PS5 single player games? I think we've heard or played the popular ones before like Red Dead, Ghost of Tsushima, Cyber punk, etc.

I'm hoping to find a new game to dig into. I'm fairly open with the genre of games from God of war to the sims. I'm hoping to play some games I may have not heard of or are not discussed often!

[Other] Xbox vs legion go

Hello guys.

I'm 24, living pretty busy life, I'm working in military. Since I was a kid I had this ich for gaming, I have a PC at home, but that PC is for YouTube or browsing at best haha.

I want something to play games, browse net etc.

I don't want to build another desktop, or to buy laptop

Either I buy Xbox series x, just simple and reliable console, Xbox game pass is good, or legion go. I'm familiar with tinkering etc

I want something reliable for next 2-3 years, I wanna ask how is the performance between the 2? I read about Xbox locking 30 fps for most AAA games, how is legion perform, pushing 30? For like Forza, red dead, GTA 5, starfield. Just to know I won't be carrying legion go everywhere, just at home. Thanks alot

[PC] Dear FPS gamers, what other genre of games do you play?

I've been a fps gamer for as long as I can remember. My friends keep telling me to get my hands dirty with mmos but I just cannot for the life of me go back to OSRS. It's a grind fest and I tried enjoying it as a casual player but couldn't get into it. I think it's because I'm used to instant satisfaction of the kill.

It saddens me I'm like this so I want to make the effort (not mmo effort lol) to try different games.

To my fellow fps gamers, what games do you enjoy playing besides fps?

What’s a good collection of games on PS5 to keep me busy for months?

Igcse’s finally finishing (summer in 20 days) and I’m really stressed so figured why not think about the reward after it, right?

Some games I really liked are rdr2, both god of wars, ghost of tsushima, detroit become human. I played all spiderman games but honestly they got so boring like 2 hours in.

Gunfire reborn

Vampire survivors

Deadcell

V Rising (play as single player)

Everspace 1&2

Children of Morta

Quasimorph

Helldivers 2

The Riftbreaker

Rimworld

Risk of Rain 2

Thanks for you guys in advance.

[PC] Games that scratch that feeling you had as a kid opening a card pack and suddenly getting a super rare card

Hello. Might seem like a random question but lately ive been seeing a lot of pokemon card pack openings and every time a rare suddenly appears i get this happy feeling. Now i wanted to find this in a game, preferably a multiplayer game so i could use the item aswell but so far ive looked into Teamfight tactics, Legends of runeterra , hearthstone and even LoL

What i want is just collect items that have use, i dont mind a steep learning curve.

[PC] [SIB] The Kingdom Hearts Games.

Upvotes

I've wanted to play this game ever since I was a kid, but I never had the right console. It was announced today that the game will be coming to Steam, but I am now a full grown adult. I love other Square Enix games like Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy X, Nier Replicant, etc. but I'm not sure if Kingdom Hearts will be enjoyable to me in this age, like how Pokemon games are legendary as a kid but don't hit the same as an adult, what do you guys think?

[PC] [WSIB] Content heavy, story focused game

Hello, I am looking for a game with a lot of content (side missions, quests, dungeons, etc) where I can get lost in the immersive world and spent hours playing at a time. The reason I didn't mention a genre exactly is because I like games from a variety of genres. some examples include

Witcher 3

RDR2

Skyrim

Baldur's Gate 3 (wow, this was amazing, so much content and lore i feel something missing from me after I finished it)

Dragon Quest XI (a bit different from the other games but i throughly enjoyed it)

Stardew/Terraria/Rimworld (Different from the rest, but I enjoyed them to death)

Plague Tale 1 and 2

Elden Ring

I have tried Cyberpunk and Ghosts of Tsushima recently, but I didn't like the modern nature of cyberpunk (prefer medieval, wild west, swords, etc rather than modern guns), and GoT just felt like the new Assasins creed formula where you run around and clear forts. The same feeling with horizon zero dawn and god of war. After around 2 hrs of playing that's all I felt like. I have also tried Kingdom come deliverance but didn't like the combat.

Appreciate the help

[PS4] Reccomend Games which can be enjoyed properly in short gaming sessions.

Basically due to some circumstances i cannot have gaming sessions of more than an hour at a time. I generally like playing games like the soulsborne series(have played bloodborne sekiro and elden ring) or story based games. The reason why i made this post was because when i try playing games like rdr2 and elden ring for an hour , my gaming sessions become rather incomplete and unenjoyable as they are such vast games. Games like bloodborne /spiderman are comparably more bearable but still not by much. Any games in which an hour gaming session would be satisfactory?

[PC] [WSIB] Best defensive fighting games?

So I’m new to fighting games and with any form of game combat defense is where at least 95% of the impact is for me. I’ve gotten curious about this due to playing a game called Hellish Quart, and finding out about Bushido Blade from that, and when looking into this topic more I’ve seen the Samurai Showdown series come up a lot, and remembered I got the NeoGeo Collection from EGS. What others would you recommend since from what I’ve seen most fighting games are more focused on offense (although my dumbass is probably wrong about that lol).

[Switch] RPG Suggestions (Switch)

Hi all,

I am looking for new RPG games but I’m not really and was hoping this Reddit could help me find a game similar to some that I am interested in and have enjoyed in the past.

A few games I really enjoy:

Pokemon - One of the franchises I am most familiar with. I have played ever I mostly enjoy team building and competitive battling.

Final Fantasy Tactics - A really big fan of the combat style of the game and team building.

Fell Seal - Similar reason to Final Fantasy Tactics.

Civilization 6 - Love the early and mid game of building an empire and exploring. By the end of the game, I am normally ready for it to be over.

Skyrim - I play this on Xbox and it may be my favorite game of all time. Enjoy the character creation and the world. The combat can be lacking at times though.

In the past I have tried Fire Emblem, but never really got into them that much. I don’t know if I should try them again because I haven’t played them in almost a decade.

While I have an Xbox I am really looking for something that I can play on my Switch preferably in handheld mode because I have a lot of work travel coming up. Thanks!

Edit: I’ve also played Rune Factory. I really enjoyed the first one but tried Rune Factory 4 and didn’t enjoy it as much.

Looking for recommendations on the PS5

As the title suggests I have wrapped up my wishlist of games and now I’m looking for suggestions on what to tackle next.

Currently my favourite games are Bloodborne, Hollow Knight, Sekiro, Elden Ring, and Dark Souls 3 so if anyone can suggest a good difficult action game that would be much appreciated

Any suggestions?

[PC] Vic II or Vic III?

I really wanna get a Victoria game since they’re on sale, but idk which one I should get. Vic III is newer and more up to date, while Vic II has much better reviews and such. I’ve heard that the only bad things about Vic III is that it’s not very like Vic II, but which wouldn’t be an issue for me since I haven’t played either, but idk. Which should I get?

Diablo's Collection or Factorio?

So I'm torn between Diablo 2, 3 & 4 for $70 or Factorio for $50. What is worth it more?

Diablo

I own Diablo 3 (Don't own the DLC so the $70 would get me that) and I don't mind it but playing POE and Grim Dawn kind of makes it hard to appreciate. That said I love the casual style of the third game so I was thinking of playing 2 for a more intense time and 4 as people say the campaign is good.

Factorio

I played the demo and although I was kind of confused at times I sunk like 2 hours into the tutorial and had such a blast that it felt the two hours just flew by. Once again, I'm torn. What would you guys pick?

[PC] Late 90s/2000s first person action games with a unique fictional setting?

Perfect examples: Bioshock, Quake 1, Clive Barker's Undying, Hexen II, Unreal, Wrath, and Northern Journey.

Preferably in first person, or option to switch between first and third persons.

Can include RPG elements, but please no grinding, excessive reading, or lengthy dialog trees. So no Morrowind or VTMB.

Looking to avoid games with "generic" sci-fi elements such as spaceships, only futuristic weapons, etc. So no games like Star Wars, Aliens Vs. Predator, System Shock 2, Red Faction, or Singularity.

Not interested in games like F.E.A.R. or other games with bland environments or that only feature modern and realistic weapons.

And obviously, no war simulators or tactical shooters like COD, Medal of Honor, or Counterstrike.

Thanks

[PC] Games like Star Citizen?

Hello! I am looking for games similar to star citizen, doesn't have to be in space or anything but would hopefully be online with pvp. I tried the invictus week of star citizen and it's... Well it's terrible, it runs terribly, it lags, you get killed by random bugs. So hoping for something with the same type of gameplay loops and such while I wait for the SC Devs to actually work on performance and bugs instead of pumping out jpegs of ships. Thanks!

[Xbox Series X] Looking For A New Game

I love open world games like Cyberpunk 2077; Red Dead Redemption 2; Grand Theft Auto 5; etc. Do you have any recommendations? I have a Xbox Series X and it’s literally just collecting dust and I use it for Netflix now since I’ve beaten the ones I mentioned.

I even looked at the New Games tab and there’s nothing of interest to me. Help?!

[PC] Ghost of Tsushima or Baldur's Gate 3? (Steam)

Torn between Ghost of Tsushima and BG3 on Steam. I've never played either game, but I'm curious about both games equally. I'm a big fan of open world RPGs like AC Odyssey, Skyrim, and while not open world, I loved God of War 2018. Don't have much to compare with BG3, but I do enjoy tactics games like Gears Tactics and Xcom.

What's enticing about GoT is the ability to easily take it on the go with my Steam Deck. BG3 also is Deck verified but I think it would be more difficult to use on the go. While the ability to take it on the go is an added benefit, it's not my deciding factor.

Those who have played both games, which would you prefer? TIA!

[PS5] SIB WWE 2k24

Been wanting to get a newer wrestling game for a while now. Was gonna get 2k23, but decided to wait for 2k24. Then I wanted to wait for it to be on sale, and now it is on sale at Walmart. However, I have heard a lot of people complain about aspects of the game. I personally do not care about any online modes. I will only be playing single player or local multiplayer. Also what are your guy's opinions about the showcase mode. I have heard mixed reviews. Thanks for any advice.

What $60 Switch game do you consider the best value for your money?

I bought Mario Odyssey and BOTW as my first two Switch games this year! Adored them! 10/10 games. Fun, spent 60 hours on MO and 200 hours on BOTW. Just finished BOTW and I'm burned out from my first open world game! Loved it but need a change. Although BOTW is the most impressive game ever. ( Tried a demo of Fenyz Rising but hated it)

Both I feel I got my money's worth on more expensive games. I have one of those Nintendo Switch vouches so I need to spend $60.

Some options I thought of

  • Skyrim or Witcher- I really want a game to play now. But, I'm a bit worried I'd feel way to overwhelmed with these open worlds? I heard Skyrim is even more massive than BOTW. So that might be an issue. If the Witcher is more contained that might be more doable for me. I loved the fighting style in BOTW. And, hate those slash fighting style type action games. I could always buy the game now with the voucher and play it when I'm ready though

-Mario 3D World and Browser Fury... after doing research this seemed to be the best game after Mario Odyssey for Mario games.? I was thinking of Mario Wonder but people said its too easy and not a long playtime.

[PC] Kill the justice league for 23 dollars or Sherlock Holmes the awakening

I've heard a bunch of bad reviews about the game as people have said it's not worth the price at all but I was wondering is this a reasonable price for it as it's on sale during the epic sale on the epic games launcher and Sherlock Holmes is on sale for 13 dollars which is also a game that appeals to me but I've also heard some negative things about it so I was wondering which one was the better option between the two.
