We need to get Jeb Bush elected as president Humor
Pistons with a Bush as president: 3 Championships
Pistons with anyone but a Bush as president: 0 championships, generally bad
It might suck for this country but it'll be great for our Pistons which is what really matters.

The 2 other finals appearances happened with a Bush as VP or President. 9/11 NBA division titles happened under the same criteria as well (quite the coincidence on that number 😳).
The two division titles outside of above? 1955 and 1956. Do you know who was a Senator representing Connecticut at that time? Prescott Bush Sr, the father of Bush 41.

The George W Bush presidency was bad for America, but great for the Pistons. A championship, another finals trip and 6 straight conference finals plus a division championship in 01-02. All 7 full seasons under W were great years for the Pistons. The Clinton years were mostly rough and the Pistons have sucked since Bush left office. Pistons should have done a January 6th back in 09 to keep W.

OP, how in the world could you miss the opportunity to just pitch us hiring Jeb Bush as President of Basketball Ops? We literally have an open search for a president position and then you wouldn't get removed for politics

Doesn't it have to be a relative of the former presidents or will any Bush do?

We only have data available on relatives, I wouldn't want to test that hypothesis. Jeb is our best bet.
